Financial Resolutions. - Dairy Produce (Amendment) Bill, 1941—Committee Stage.

Sections 1 to 5, inclusive, put and agreed to.

SECTION 6.

In the case of fees payable under this section in respect of the year 1940, the reference in sub-section (6) of this section to the 1st day of January shall be construed as a reference to the 1st day of May and the reference in that sub-section and in sub-section (8) of this section to the 17th day of March shall each be construed as a reference to the 30th day of June.

I move the following amendment:—

In sub-section (10), page 4, line 21, to delete the word "May" and substitute the word "June" and to delete the word "reference" and substitute the word "references".

The purpose of this amendment is just in case the Bill would not be passed through the Dáil and Seanad by the 31st May, which would mean that we would have to bring in another amending Bill in order to apply to June. Accordingly, this is putting the date back to the end of June.
