Vol. 83 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Discontinuance of Disability Pension.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he will consider referring for re-examination the case of Mr. Thomas Hunt, 76 Saint Killian's Crescent, Carlow, who was informed by letter dated 27th January, 1941 (Reference No. D.P. 4586) that his disability pension granted on 2nd July, 1935, would be discontinued as his disablement had not on medical examination in January, 1941, reached the statutory minimum of 80 per cent.

I have no power under the Army Pensions Acts to refer Mr. Hunt's case to the Army Pensions Board for re-examination. Mr. Hunt has been awarded a final pension of £1 per week under Section 26 of the Act of 1937 and this award cannot be reviewed.
