Vol. 84 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Motor Cars—Monthly Tax.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if it is a fact that an additional charge of 10 per cent. will be made over the £1 per horse-power rate in the case of motor cars taxed monthly, and, if so, if he will state the reasons for this inequitable arrangement.

Before the 1st instant licences could be taken out for yearly, half-yearly, quarterly, or the last month of each quarter. Licences may now be taken out also for the first or second months of this quarter. The monthly rates for these months is the same as that which has been in operation since 1921 for the last month of the quarter.
