Vol. 84 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerosene for Dairymen.

asked the Minister for Supplies whether he will take immediate steps to have a supply of kerosene made available and held in reserve for the use of dairymen who during the six months of the winter have to milk cows twice a day by the light of a lantern.

The necessity of making a supply of kerosene available for dairymen during the winter months is not being overlooked and subject to supplies being available I will do whatever is possible to meet their reasonable requirements. I am not, however, in a position to create a reserve for the purpose.
