Vol. 84 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Commodities.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state whether the organisations established for the purpose of importing (a) grain; (b) animal feeding stuffs, and (c) timber, are still in existence; whether he has continued to maintain contact with their activities, and, if so, whether he will state the extent of their respective operations during the first seven months of the present year.

The organisations referred to are still in existence and my Department continues to maintain contact with them. Their activities were considerably restricted during the first seven months of this year owing to the difficulty in obtaining supplies of commodities due to shortage of shipping.
