Vol. 85 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prices of Home and Foreign Wheat.

asked the Minister for Supplies what is the relation between the price paid for home-grown wheat and the all-in price at which foreign wheat has been landed in this country within the past year.

The guaranteed price of native wheat on the farm during the cereal year ended 31st August, 1941, was 35/- per barrel for wheat which weighs not less than 59 lbs. per bushel, and the average c.i.f. price for the wheat imported in the corresponding period was 34/10 per barrel of 280 lbs.
