Vol. 85 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of State Prosecution.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the cost incurred by the State in connection with the prosecution directed against Messrs. Chapman and Town, directors of Messrs. L. Jordan and Co., Ltd., Ennis, and the Vote on which these expenses are borne.

The total amount of the costs incurred has not yet been ascertained, but it is not anticipated that it will exceed the sum of £750 awarded by the court towards the costs of the prosecution. The expenses, other than travelling and subsistence expenses of members of the Gárda Síochána which are proper to the Gárda Síochána Vote, will be borne by the Vote for Law Charges.
