Vol. 85 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supplies of Seed Oats.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware of the difficulty experienced by farmers in the congested districts of South Kerry in obtaining supplies of seed oats at reasonable prices; and, if so, if he will make arrangements with the Dairy Disposals Board whereby seed oats will be obtained at reasonable prices from the creameries in these districts.

I am aware of the position as regards supplies of seed oats in certain districts in South Kerry. I understand that the Dairy Disposal Company has under consideration the matter of facilitating milk suppliers to its various branches in the South Kerry area in regard to obtaining seed oats.
