Vol. 85 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Temporary Tribunals.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the names of temporary commissions, tribunals, boards, Government committees set up by the Government since 1932, and the names and remuneration or allowances of non-civil servant members of these committees and commissions, where such remuneration was paid.

It appears from the terms of the Deputy's question that he has in view not only bodies established directly by the Government, but also those set up at the instance of Ministers. The preparation of information on those lines for so many years would necessitate an inquiry in each Government Department, involving an expenditure of time and labour which, in present circumstances, it would be difficult to justify. It may be possible, however, for the Deputy to indicate more specifically what information he is seeking, in which event I shall see what can reasonably be done to make it available.
