Vol. 86 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Scariff District Hospital.

Mr. Burke

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if, in view of the dilapidated condition of the Scariff District Hospital, he will state whether he is now in a position to sanction the scheme for repairs and improvements submitted by the Clare Board of Health; and, if not, and in view of his previous promises of an early decision in the matter, he will indicate the cause of the continued delay in according sanction to the proposals.

The Clare Board of Health and Public Assistance have been informed that tenders may be invited for the building work and for the water supply and drainage scheme at Scariff District Hospital. The documents in connection with electrical plant, heating and hot water installation have been discussed with the board's consulting engineer and as soon as certain revisions indicated to him have been carried out they will be approved.
