It is not proposed to extend the scope of the Food Allowances Scheme in the manner suggested by the Deputy.
Arising out of the Minister's reply, has his attention been directed to the danger of a situation arising wherein people who do get allowances of food on their vouchers have no fuel wherewith to cook it? Will not the Minister consider the desirability, in these necessitous cases, of giving this class of person the right to demand, as of right, a certain quantity of coal at some centre where he may be sure of getting it?
