Vol. 86 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Land Commission propose to deal with the lands of Twanyagry, County Mayo (Crotty estate), so as to relieve the congestion therein and sever the tenancy in common under which the lands are held.

It is not possible at present to state when the Land Commission will be in a position to deal with the question of the division of the co-tenancy of the lands of Twanyagry. The plots are so intermixed that it will be necessary to rearrange the lands before revesting takes place; and owing to the present emergency conditions the operations of the Land Commission are hampered by shortage of staff.
