Vol. 86 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Gárda Síochána Regulations.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that a candidate for the Gárda Síochána who was officially informed on the 17th May, 1940, that his name was entered on the list of candidates for examination on the resumption of recruiting, has on such resumption been informed recently that he is now disqualified as being over the age limit; and whether in view of the fact that this man has spent all the intervening time in the National Army, he will consider amending the age limit regulations in favour of this man and any others who may be in the same position.

I regret that I cannot see my way to modify the regulations as suggested.
