Employment (restriction of certain mandatory retirement ages) Bill

In scrutinising the general scheme of this legislation, the Committee indicates that forced retirement can have a significant impact on the financial security of individuals and it supports the idea that people should have the choice to continue working after the age of 65.

In examining how such technological advances may affect the workplace, the Committee recommends the establishment of an Oireachtas committee to consider the broader aspects of artificial intelligence and comprehensive discussions to safeguard both worker rights and employer interests.
