Vol. 86 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Travelling Allowances of Medical Officers of Health.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state (1) the maximum travelling or mileage allowance for county medical officers of health; (2) if they are paid on actual mileage travelled and vouched, and (3) if there are any exceptions to the rule at (2); and, if so, if he will state the exceptions and the reasons for same.

Fourteen county medical officers of health receive vouched travelling expenses not exceeding £200 per annum each, nine are recouped travelling expenses actually and necessarily incurred, and four receive an allowance at the rate of £200 a year.
