Local Elections (Amendment) Bill, 1942—First Stage.
Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to amend the Local Elections Act, 1937, by extending until the 30th day of September, 1943, the period within which local elections to which that Act applies are thereby required to be held, and to make provisions consequential on or incidental to such extension.—(Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (Dr. Ward.).)
