Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allocation of Oats.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in respect of the total quantity of oats which came under the control of the Cereals Distribution Committee the quantities allocated to each of the following: (1) flake oatmeal millers, (2) oatmeal millers, (3) horse feeders, (4) compound feeding-stuff manufacturers, (5) grist millers, (6) other groups.

The quantities of oats allocated by the Cereals Distribution Committee to the groups mentioned in the Deputy's question were as follows:—

(1) Flake oatmeal millers, 155,420 barrels; (2) oatmeal millers, 93,913 barrels; (3) horse feeders, 65,444 barrels; (4) compound feeding stuffs manufacturers, nil; (5) grist millers, nil; (6) other groups, comprising seed oats assemblers, manufacturers of infant foods, distillers and retailers of oats in small quantities, 38,580 barrels.
