Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sugar for Beet Growers.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he is prepared to adopt the suggestion of the Irish Beet Growers' Association that growers of beet should receive an additional allowance of sugar in respect of beet supplied to sugar factories.

The suggestion of the Irish Beet Growers' Association has been under consideration, but it is not proposed to decide the matter finally until the representatives of the association have had an opportunity of putting forward their views at an interview for which arrangements have been made at their request.
