Vol. 88 No. 13

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Congestion in Mayo.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that acute congestion still exists in the townlands of Kilscoghadh, Gortanieran and Curraghadoey, Crossboyne, Claremorris; and if he will state the cause of delay by the Land Commission in dividing the Gortanieran farm on the Ward estate for the relief of the existing congestion.

The position in this case was explained in the reply to the Deputy's question of 2nd June, 1942.

The Land Commission are about to apply to the Appeal Tribunal to authorise the resumption of an area of 24a. 3r. 25p. of the holding of Joseph P. Mellett in the townland of Kilscoghagh.
