Vol. 88 No. 13

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage Commission Report.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has yet considered the Report of the Drainage Commission and what legislation he proposes to introduce to implement the findings of the commission, and if he is aware that grave losses and hardships are being suffered by farmers in the Shannon district.

The Report of the Drainage Commission has been examined and the preparation of legislation directed to giving effect to the recommendations of the commission is being pressed forward. As regards the second part of the Deputy's question, any action in relation to the Shannon district must await the new legislation.
