Vol. 89 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Benefit.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state what is the cause of the delay in paying unemployment benefit to Mr. Patrick Nolan, 3 Leinster Street, Athy.

Mr. Nolan's claim to unemployment benefit of the 8th February was disallowed by an insurance officer on the grounds that he left his employment voluntarily without just cause on the 22nd January and was disqualified for the receipt of benefit for six weeks from and including that date. Mr. Nolan can appeal to the Court of Referees against the decision of the insurance officer. He has not since qualified for receipt of benefit.
