Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Expenditure on Social Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the total sum expended from all sources in the last financial year in respect of (a) health insurance benefits; (b) home assistance; (c) institutional treatment for the poor and destitute; (d) food vouchers and fuel vouchers for the poor; (e) The Milk and Charities Act; (f) housing subsidies; (g) free milk schemes; (h) school meals schemes; and, further, whether he will state the amount of such expenditure provided by (1) the Exchequer; (2) rates, and (3) contributions payable by employers and workers.

The information so far as available has been compiled in the form of a statistical table, which will be circulated with the Official Report.
