Vol. 89 No. 18

Electoral (Polling Cards) Bill, 1943—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to provide for the sending by returning officers to voters at general elections of members of Dáil Eireann held during the present national emergency of information as to their number on the register of electors and their place of voting.— (Minister for Local Government and Public Health).

I should like the House to permit all stages of this Bill to be taken after item No. 2 on the Order Paper.

There is no objection to taking the Second Stage then and, if nothing arises requiring attention in Committee, taking the remaining stages also.

I take it that, if it is desired to move an amendment to the Bill in Committee, facilities will be given by postponing the Committee Stage until to-morrow?

Certainly.

Agreed: That Second Stage be taken later to-day.
