Vol. 91 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turbary Supplies in County Mayo.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that great dissatisfaction exists in parts of the County of Mayo, especially in the parishes of Cong, Kilmaine and Ballinrobe, where the supply of turbary is limited, at the way in which the bogs have been allotted, some persons being left without any turf; and if he will have a survey made of the bogs in these three parishes with a view to a more equitable distribution of the same.

Local inquiry is being made into this matter, but as this may take some time to complete, I propose (with the Deputy's permission) to communicate to him by letter the result of the inquiry as soon as available.
