185 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education her views on the impact of Gaelscoileanna on national schools in general, particularly where enrolments, pupil teacher ratios, capitation and capital grants are involved. [12435/95]
I am aware that the recognition of a new school in an area will normally have an impact on neighbouring schools with consequential effects on staffing and capitation grants in these schools. The question of the recognition of new schools is a matter to which my Department will be giving specific consideration in the coming months.
