Vol. 92 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Emergency Compound Manure.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the very high costs of emergency compound manure, he will consider permitting farmers to use their wheat manure vouchers in purchasing it.

The fertiliser (credit) scheme was introduced with the object of giving special advantage, after the emergency, to those farmers who grew wheat in that period, in the task of restoring the fertility of lands. It is not proposed to apply the scheme to the purchase of manures until after the emergency.
