As already announced through the Press, the Government has accepted in principle the scheme of capital reconstruction submitted by the Board of the Great Southern Railways Company. It is anticipated that legislation to give effect to this reconstruction and to make such other changes in the law relating to transport as appear necessary and desirable will be introduced early next year.
