Vol. 92 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transfer of National Stud.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is yet in a position to make a statement as to the financial arrangements between the British and Irish Governments arising out of the transfer of the National Stud at Tully, Kildare, to Great Britain.

I am not yet in a position to add to my reply to the Deputy of the 27th October.

Would the Minister give any indication as to when the present national stud is likely to be restocked with bloodstock?

I could not.

Can the Minister give any hope that he will make an early announcement on this matter which is one of considerable local importance?

I think the position will be more clear when we meet again after Christmas.
