Vol. 93 No. 3

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Proposed Dispensary for Clonsilla.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the people in Clonsilla, Mulhuddart and Porterstown district have to travel four or five miles to attend the dispensary in Lucan, and that old people and people without bicycles are obliged to take a bus to Dublin and then another bus back to Lucan; and, in view of this, if he will authorise the opening of a dispensary in Clonsilla to facilitate the people in these districts.

This is primarily a matter for the Commissioners for the Dublin Board of Assistance and I cannot express an opinion thereon before there has been a proper examination of the position. It has been ascertained from the commissioners that no previous complaint of difficulties in attending the present dispensary in Lucan has been made to them.
