Vol. 93 No. 5

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Income-Tax on Seamen's Earnings.

asked the Minister for Finance if he proposes to introduce legislation to provide that, on Irish ships, seamen's wages and bonus be not subject to income-tax, in recognition of their splendid services to the State during the emergency period.

The Deputy will hardly expect me at this date to anticipate my Budget Statement. I will consider the matter in connection with the Budget, but I cannot promise any concession.
