I move:—
That a sum not exceeding £84,404 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending the 31st day of March, 1945, for the Salaries and Expenses of the Houses of the Oireachtas, including a Grant-in-Aid.
I should like to ask a question on this Vote with regard to the position of the ushers' staff in this House. A number of those men have been here for quite a number of years and they are in an unestablished position.
That matter is not relevant now. The Deputy will have his opportunity on Vote 5—Minister for Finance. The Minister for Finance controls such matters.
