Vol. 94 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Paraffin Supply to Tradesmen.

asked the Minister for Supplies whether he will be able to assure an allocation of paraffin oil to carpenters, tailors, blacksmiths, shoemakers, harnessmakers, etc., for use in their workrooms during the coming winter.

I have considered fully the question of granting special allowances of kerosene to carpenters, tailors, blacksmiths, shoemakers, harnessmakers, etc., for use in their workshops during the coming winter months but have decided that it would be impracticable. The available supplies of kerosene, over and above the quantities required for industrial and agricultural purposes, will be distributed uniformly in the domestic ration.
