Vol. 95 No. 2

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - National Holiday.

asked the Taoiseach whether it is the intention of the Government at an early date to provide by legislation or otherwise that April 24th will be recognised as a national holiday.

This matter has been considered on more than one occasion by the Government and it has been decided to adhere to the arrangement which has been followed in the past of commemorating the Rising of 1916 at Easter each year.
