Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state whether an application for a military service pension was received by his Department from Michael Maher, Moanduff, Leighlinbridge, County Carlow, and what decision, if any, has been made thereon.

There is no record in my Department of an application under the Military Service Pensions Acts, 1924 or 1934, having been received from Mr. Michael Maher, Moanduff, Leighlinbridge, County Carlow.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state whether an application for a military service pension was received by his Department from William Corrigan, Ballon Hill, Ballon, County Carlow, and, if so, what decision, if any, has been made thereon.

An application for a service certificate under the terms of the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, was received from Mr. William Corrigan, Ballon Hill, Ballon, Co. Carlow. The Referee, to whom the application was referred in accordance with the terms of Section 8(1) of the Act, reported that Mr. Corrigan is not a person to whom the Act applies and Mr. Corrigan was informed accordingly on the 13th February, 1940.
