Vol. 95 No. 8

Ceisteanna. — Questions. Oral Answers. - Bray Wood Fuel Supplies.

asked the Minister for Supplies whether he is aware that residents in the town of Bray find it almost impossible to obtain supplies of wood fuel as local suppliers can secure an increased price through sale in an adjacent area where a higher controlled price applies and if he will have the position examined with the object of securing that supplies of wood fuel will be obtainable in Bray.

I am aware of the difficulty which has been experienced by residents in the town of Bray in securing supplies of wood fuel but it will be appreciated that these difficulties have not been confined to Bray. All the relevant circumstances were borne in mind when the prices of firewood were revised last year and I am not prepared to vary these prices.
