Vol. 95 No. 11

Written Answers. - Films of War Events.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that film shows of war events are being given in various halls throughout Dublin and that admission charges are being made in respect of them; and if he will state whether entertainments duty has been paid in respect of such performances; and, if not, if any prosecutions have been instituted or are being contemplated.

I am not aware that there has been any failure by exhibitors of films depicting war events to comply with the law and regulations relating to payment of entertainments duty. The question of instituting legal proceedings does not therefore arise.
