Vol. 95 No. 11

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerosene Ration.

asked the Minister for Supplies whether newly-married couples who have set up house where neither gas nor electricity is installed are unable to obtain a ration of kerosene if they had not applied prior to November 9th, 1944; and, if so, if he will favourably review this matter.

There is no prohibition against the grant of a kerosene ration during the kerosene rationing period to persons, whether newly married or otherwise, who take up residence for the first time in premises where neither gas nor electricity is installed provided they are otherwise eligible for a ration; and any such applications will be favourably considered by my Department whether made before or after the 9th of November, 1944.
