Public Business. - Report of the Committee on Procedure and Privileges.

I move:—

(1) That the report do lie upon the Table;

(2) That the report and Minutes of Proceedings of the Committee be printed.

What is the intention of the Government with regard to the report?

That has not yet been decided.

Are we to understand that the Government are not prepared to make any statement yet as to the attitude they will take on that report?

Quite so—not yet.

There is nothing before the House beyond the presentation of the report; there is no resolution suggesting that any possible change of Standing Orders will arise now, so the House is not committed to anything beyond the acceptance of this as a report of that meeting.
