Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Issues of Tractors and Binders in County Wexford.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number of tractors issued by his Department to County Wexford this year, and the names and addresses of those to whom they were given; the number of binders issued to the county, the names and addresses of the receivers and the number of applications received from County Wexford by his Department.

I presume that the Deputy refers to the allocation of agricultural machinery in 1944. Fifteen tractors and 11 reapers and binders were distributed in County Wexford in 1944, and a statement showing the names and addresses of the persons to whom they were issued will be printed in the Official Report. The number of applications received in my Department in respect of this allocation was: tractors, 56; reapers and binders, 74.

The following is the statement showing the names and addresses of the persons in County Wexford who received tractors and reapers and binders in 1944:—

How many applications did the Department receive?

For tractors, 56, and for reapers and binders, 74.
