Vol. 96 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Hunt Estate (County Kilkenny).

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state if he has considered the memorial sent to him requesting the acquisition and division of the Hunt estate, Balmore, Jerpoint, Thomastown, County Kilkenny; and if he is in a position to say when the land will be divided amongst those in the district who are either landless or are living on small, uneconomic holdings.

Mr. Boland

Representations have been made requesting the acquisition and division of lands in the townland of Jerpoint Church, which appear to be on the Stopford (formerly Hunt) estate, County Kilkenny, and the representations have been noted for later consideration by the Land Commission.

There are no proceedings pending for the acquisition of these lands, and owing to emergency conditions no action in the matter can be taken at present.
