Vol. 98 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Edenderry Dispensary Sanitation.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that repeated and unsuccessful applications were made for the provision of a suitable water supply and sanitary accommodation for the dispensary at Edenderry, County Offaly; and, if so, if he will request the county manager to sanction this application.

A specification for the carrying out of general repairs to the dispensary and residence was approved by the former board of health and public assistance on the 13th September, 1941, but the specification in question contained no reference to the provision of a water supply and sanitary accommodation for the patients. The proposals of the board for the carrying out of repairs were duly approved. Since that no applications for sanction to the provision of a water supply and sanitary accommodation or other repairs to the dispensary were submitted by the local authority. I am taking the matter up with the county manager.
