Vol. 98 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Laoighis Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will request the Land Commission to take steps to divide the Carter Estate, Knocknagrove, and Kyletelisha, Portlaoighise, Leix, amongst smallholders and deserving applicants in the area, as great congestion exists there, and local people are anxious that the estate be divided as soon as possible.

The Land Commission have considered the question of acquiring the lands of Kyletelisha and Knocknagrove on the Carter Estate and have decided to take no action in the matter for the present.
