Vol. 98 No. 6

Written Answer. - Payment for Clonakilty Site.

asked the Minister for Defence if he could now arrange to pay Mr. John Harrington, Dundeady, Galley Head, Clonakilty, in respect of the site acquired from him five years ago for the erection of a coast watcher's hut.

Since my reply of the 20th June last to the Deputy's question in this matter, considerable progress has been made in dealing with the question of compensation for the sites of the look-out post huts. A number of the County Cork cases amongst others have been disposed of and it is anticipated that Mr. Harrington's claim in respect of the Galley Head Post and the balance of the County Cork cases will be dealt with by the middle of November at latest.
