Vol. 98 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Seed Oats.

Mr. O'Reilly

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state if Scotch seed oats will be available for the coming spring.

I understand limited supplies may be available I am prepared to grant licences for the importation from the United Kingdom of limited quantities of seed oats of suitable varieties.

Arising out of the Minister's reply, will he permit the importation of seed wheat?

Of certain varieties, yes.

Will the Minister name the varieties?

Desirable varieties other than Atlee and Pabjberg.

Other than those grown by pedigree seed-growers in this country?
