Vol. 99 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Widows' and Orphans' Pensions.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is now able to state when it is proposed to introduce amending legislation so as to safeguard, for the purposes of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Acts, those persons who emigrated to Great Britain to take up employment there during the emergency, and whose widows and children may not be qualified at present to receive benefit under the British scheme, and whose insurability may have lapsed under the Irish Acts.

I cannot give a specific date at present, but the Deputy may rest assured that the matter is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
