I am advised that a number of the more extensive bog areas in County Mayo have been recently examined by the Turf Development Board, Ltd., but the question of their suitability for machine development cannot be finally decided until further detailed surveys have been made. The development of the Mayo bogs and particularly the great bog areas of Bangor Erris presents a special problem which is being borne in mind for future attention.
