I move:—
That a supplementary sum not exceeding £100 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending 31st March, 1946, for the Salaries and Expenses of the Charitable Donations and Bequests Office (7 & 8 Vict., c. 97, secs. 7 & 8; 30 & 31 Vict., c. 54, sec. 24; and 34 & 35 Vict., c. 102).
About £40 of the excess is due to the increased emergency bonus since 1st January, 1946, and the remaining £60 is mostly due to the filling of a vacancy in a subordinate post by an officer transferred from another office who happened to be at the maximum point of the appropriate scale.
