Vol. 99 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Blacksmiths' Coal.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that blacksmiths are at present compelled to use coal of a very inferior quality in order to carry on their work, and whether, in view of the importance of this trade to the farming community during the tillage drive he will make immediate efforts to provide coal of a better quality for blacksmiths.

As I have stated on many previous occasions, special smith's coal is unobtainable and blacksmiths must, therefore, adapt themselves to the use of such coal as is available.
