Vol. 99 No. 20

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Proposed Travelling Creamery.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will now examine the dairying conditions obtaining in the Glengarriff-Adrigole area, with a view to establishing there a travelling creamery on similar lines to the system now working so successfully in the western area of the Beara peninsula.

There is already a travelling creamery stop at Adrigole and another stop at Droumagoulane, between Adrigole and Glengarriff. The Glengarriff district has already been surveyed on several occasions and it was found that the quantity of milk available was too small to warrant its collection by travelling creamery.
