asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the area of land acquired by the Irish Land Commission in each of the periods from 1st January, 1934, to 31st December, 1935; from 1st January, 1936, to 31st December, 1937, and from 1st January, 1938, to 31st December, 1939; and, further, if he will state the area of land allotted by way of new holdings and extensions to existing holdings in each of the above mentioned periods, giving details of the number of new holdings and of extensions to existing holdings.

The Land Commission statistics for land acquisition and division are made up for financial years and I am having circulated in the Official Report, with the consent of the Ceann Comhairle, a tabular statement which will give the Deputy the information he requires for each of the seven years ending 31st March, 1940.
